I am an Associate Professor at the College of Computing of the Mohammed VI Polytechnique (UM6P) as well as heading the Toubkal Supercomputer which is Africa's most powerful high-performance computing data center.
I was previously an Interim Professor and headed the Chairs of Computer Architecture and Energy Informatics at the Institute of Informatics of the Claustal University of Technology as well as the Chairs of Sensor Technology and Secured Information Systems at the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics of the University of Passau. I was habilitand and postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics of the University of Passau. I hold a PhD in distributed systems from the University of Toulouse.
I specialize in exploring the fundamentals of large-scale Distributed Systems, with a particular focus on energy management. My research delves into various applications such as data centers, smart homes, and electric mobility. I am deeply passionate about tackling interdisciplinary and intricate systems using established methodologies like Markov Chains, Queuing Theory, and Peer-to-Peer machine-learning.
I am constantly searching for motivated students to realize their PhD thesis under my supervision.
